What is the Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway?

As Circle K are the title partner of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) Club Mark Programme, to support grassroots football in Ireland, we have announced the Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway to support local football clubs across the country with €100,000 in cash prizes to be won.

How can I take part in the promotion?

The Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway is open to all registered PLAY or PARK members. PLAY or PARK is Circle K’s loyalty game, operated through the Circle K app, where you can collect points and play them for a chance to win a fantastic experience of a lifetime each month, as well as free Circle K treats every month you play.

Once you have downloaded the Circle K app and registered for PLAY or PARK, you can select your chosen football club in the FAI portal within the app and upload your Circle K receipt to generate a draw entry for your club. One draw entry will be generated per receipt uploaded withing the FAI portal. The more entries a club gets, the higher their chances of winning will be.

Can all football clubs win the draw?

All grassroots football clubs in the Republic of Ireland, who have registered to the FAI Club Mark Programme and been entered into the draw via a receipt upload in their name, will be entered into the draws and eligible to win prizes.

Are all receipts accepted?

Receipts issued at all Circle K outlets in the Republic of Ireland between 4^th October 2023 and 5^th December 2023 will be eligible to enter in the Circle K Grassroots Giveaway. A full list of Circle K locations is available at https://www.circlek.ie/station-search

Entries cannot be granted for receipts that only contain excluded items such as alcohol, lottery tickets and newspapers. Please see promotion terms and conditions for full list of excluded items at https://www.circlek.ie/terms-and-conditions

I have two receipts, can I enter both?

Yes, each eligible receipt can be used to generate an entry for your local football club. One draw entry will be generated per receipt uploaded and the more entries a club gets, the higher their chances of winning will be.

The app won’t allow me take a photo of my receipt, what can I do?

The FAI interface on the Circle K app requires camera access. Please open your phone settings, select the Circle K app, and turn on camera access.

The app is not accepting my receipt upload, what can I do?

Please ensure the print quality of the receipt is adequate. If the text is broken or blurry, our systems may not be able to process this receipt effectively. If this is the case, please ask a staff member to re-issue your receipt.

You can also request a manual upload my sending on your receipt to our team for review via the ‘Contact Us’ section in the FAI portal on the app.

Can I change my football club once I have selected it?

You cannot change your football club within the app. If you wish to change your club, please submit a request via the ‘Contact Us’ section in the FAI portal on the app.

Please note that all draw entries you have generated to date will transfer to the new club with you.

Can other sports clubs enter the draw?

I cannot see my club on the list, what do clubs need to do in order to be eligible?

All grassroots football clubs in the Republic of Ireland are available to be selected on the app.

For football clubs to eligible of winning the Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway, they must be registered for the FAI Club Mark Programme, and a minimum of 1 receipt must be uploaded via the Circle K app on behalf of their club.

What prizes can be won?

The Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway will see a total of €100,000 shared between the winning clubs across the Republic of Ireland, with weekly draws starting in November 2023.

Draw 1- 15th November 
2 x €10,000 Prizes

Draw 2- 22nd November
2 x €10,000 Prizes

Draw 3- 29th November
3 x €10,000 Prizes

Draw 4- 6th December
€30,000 Grand Prize

There is a grand prize of €30,000 to be won, along with seven prizes of €10,000.

When are the draws happening?

There will be four draws held during the Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway. The first draw will take place on 15^th November followed by the second draw on 22^nd November, with two winners to be chosen at each draw for prizes of €10,000 each. The third draw will take place on 29^th November, with three winners to be chosen for prizes of €10,000 each. The grand prize draw will take place on 6^th December where one winner of the €30,000 grand prize will be chosen.

How will the draws be conducted?

Winners for the Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway will be selected at random by computer from the pool of eligible entries. All draws will be independently adjudicated. All winners will automatically be excluded from the remaining draws.

When and where will the results of the draws be published?

Details of the prize winners will be published on https://www.circlek.ie/fai-partnership following the completion of the draw. Winning clubs will also be contacted directly following the draws.

What is the FAI Club Mark Programme?

The FAI Club Mark is an award based on best practices in the governance, management and administration of a football club, which has been established by the Football Association of Ireland. Full details on the FAI Club Mark Programme can be found at https://www.fai.ie/domestic/fai-club-mark

Circle K’s €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway

The Circle K €100,000 Grassroots Giveaway (the “Promotion”) is run by Circle K Ireland Energy Limited, Circle K House, Beech Hill, Clonskeagh, Dublin 4 Tel: +353 (0) 1 202 8888 (ROI) (“Circle K”)– at participating Circle K locations.

To participate in the Promotion you will need to be a registered Play or Park member.  Membership of Play or Park is subject to the Terms & Conditions of the scheme which can be found at www.playorpark.ie. Contact the Circle K customer service centre on 1850 320 320 (ROI) if you have any issues or queries. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

FAI Club Mark:

In order for your football club to be eligible for the Promotion it must be registered for the FAI Club Mark Programme. Details can be found at https://www.fai.ie/domestic/fai-club-mark

The Promotion:

1. The Promotion will run from 4th October 2023 until 5th December 2023 at all Circle K outlets in the Republic of Ireland. A list of participating outlets can be found at https://www.circlek.ie/station-search. Winners will be selected at random by computer from a pool of eligible entries. Once a winner has been chosen, they are automatically excluded from further draws.  
2. Winning clubs must use prize monies for club improvement & development. Monies are subject to contest audit to ensure proper application of funds. The independent adjudicators’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
3. Circle K accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. 

How to Play:

1. Customers will be promoted to choose their football club from a list of eligible clubs. Customers can then generate draw entries for their chosen football club by uploading their receipt via the Circle K app. One draw entry will be granted for their chosen football club for every unique receipt they upload. Everyone can generate draw entries for a club, and the more entries a club gets, the higher their chances of winning. One entry only per receipt. Entries cannot be granted in circumstances where purchases consist solely of one or more the following excluded items: alcohol, lottery tickets, newspapers, medicines, gift cards, infant milk formula.
2. Use of the app following a change in the Promotion will be deemed acceptance of that change.  We may terminate the Promotion at any time. Circle K will not be liable for any resulting loss or damage.

 General:

4. Circle K will not be liable for any unauthorised use of a participant’s Play or Park game tag or use of a participant’s entry in any circumstances, including loss or theft.
5. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with the conditions of entry, or a prize-winning Club cannot be contacted within seven days, that entry will be discarded and a new winner of the prize will be randomly selected.
6. Circle K reserves the right to alter or amend the draw schedule or to introduce further draws as it sees fit. All draws in the Promotion are conditional on the requisite number of Clubs meeting the qualifying criteria. 
7.  If for any reason any aspect of the Promotion is not capable of operating as planned, Circle K may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries.
8. Circle K reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Promotion with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected, or actual fraud). We reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual we find to be (a) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or with any app/website promoting the Promotion; (b) acting in violation of the terms and conditions; or (c) entering or attempting to enter the Promotion multiple times using multiple mobile numbers or other IDs. 
9. Prize winning clubs will be required to partake in a photo call and partake in reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity, photography, film) at Circle K’s request and free of charge, following the draw. Clubs must procure any necessary consents from members in relation to the above. Winners will be selected at random by computer from a pool of eligible entries. The independent adjudicators’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. This promotion is run in ROI by Circle K pursuant to a lottery licence granted to The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, a registered charity of Johnstown, Naas, Co. Kildare by the Dublin District Court. Circle K may withdraw, cancel or change these Terms and Conditions at any time.

9. By opting to receive other communication from Circle K, you consent to Circle K retaining your information, including details of purchases, and using that information to inform you of offers and services which may be of interest to you.

10. Circle K may disclose entrants’ personal information to its external data controllers and businesses for the purpose of conducting the Promotion or communicating with entrants.

11. We are obliged to disclose details of successful participants to our charity partner The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation so that The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation may comply with its statutory obligations in respect of the lottery licence.

12. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be void, unlawful or unenforceable for any reason, that portion shall be deemed severable from these Terms and Conditions. This shall not otherwise affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

13. You have the right to request a copy of your data currently held by us, and to rectify or remove personal details, by writing to Circle K Loyalty Manager, Circle K House, Beech Hill, Clonskeagh, Dublin 4 or contacting the Customer Service Centre on 1850 320 320 (ROI) or 0800 107 7720 (NI).
