New Circle K ‘Little Thank Yous’ initiative gives customers the chance to give a gift to a ‘nation’s hero’
Circle K, Ireland’s largest fuel and convenience retailer, has launched a new community initiative today that has been created to give special recognition to the people in Ireland who are working hard to keep the country moving right now.
The new initiative, ‘Little Thank Yous’, gives customers the chance to send a gift to someone who they feel deserves a thank you for their efforts to support their local community. Whether it be a health professional, a teacher finding innovative ways to teach their students online, a restaurant or café owner who has donated food to a hospital or a delivery driver who has worked tirelessly to make sure that communities have the essential items they need, Circle K customers can choose the people who they feel deserve a special treat and show that they care about the work that these ‘heroes’ are doing to make many lives better.
To get involved in ‘Little Thank Yous’, customers can register on the Circle K app and request a gift link, which can be sent to up to five of their ‘heroes’*. When the customer’s chosen ‘hero’ logs onto the app to redeem their gift, they will be provided with a list of beverages from Circle K’s in-store product range that they can redeem for free in sites across Circle K’s company owned store network nationwide. The beverages in the range that are included in the initiative are any hot drink, iced Simply Great Coffee, water or Extremum energy drink. The initiative which launches across all of Circle K’s European network today, will see a total of 100,000 gifts being given away by Circle K to customers in Ireland, distributed on a first come, first served basis.
Speaking about the ‘Little Thank Yous’ initiative, Gordon Lawlor, Managing Director of Circle K Ireland said: ‘At Circle K, we know that it is important that we continue to support communities in these challenging circumstances. We have seen in these last few weeks new meaning to the saying that ‘not all superheroes wear capes’, as there have been many people from different walks of life that have been going above and beyond to keep Ireland going. Following the enormous success of Circle K Canada’s ‘Little Thank Yous’ campaign, I am proud to announce that we are launching the initiative in Ireland from today, giving customers the chance to choose up to five people who they feel are deserving of a little recognition for their efforts to support their local communities.
